My Mexican Jumping Beans!

Okay...I am fascinated by these things. I bought them in Old Town San Diego not knowing anything about them. Than they started jumping in their case and was in shock! I read up on these little things. A moth lays her eggs on these beans & the worm burros into the bean until its ready to come out to be a moth. Usually in June, so why do they jump? As they are use to being in the desert. If the bean get's too hot the larva make the bean jump into shade so they don't cook. They are very cool...they are jumping right now.
