Looking at the mountain tops....

Aaahhhh.... the view from my living room window is so inspiring.
I'm definately getting impatient for the season to begin! The white on the mountain tops just adds to the adventure....right? lol!

We're really looking forward to all the new people we will meet and friends we will make this summer. That is also inspiring! Here's some pics from last summer to get us started! You can check out our website for what trips we have going. We would love to share our world with you! If you can't make a trip, stop in for coffee. It's always on!

See you on the trail!

Sorting on Saturday

On Saturday, Wrangler Scott and YY Susan came out to the ranch and helped us sort off dry cows. It was another beautiful, sunny day!

Scott's horse might have left him while he was being creative with the camera... LOL! His horse "Snip" thought it was funny anyways!
Susan came to the rescue. We look forward to riding Snip this summer. She is a great little horse and works the cattle well.

Wrangler Scott riding "Diesel." For June, Diesel is going to stay home with Guy for more cattle work and to work on his roping. I'm excited to see the results! Then Diesel is out west with us for July - September. We can't do without this guy to take care of our clients on the pack trips. He is quiet for the green riders but peps up when you have a job for him to do!

Here's "Stella." She's a beautiful, all-round, buckskin mare and will be for sale this fall as well. I've been riding her all winter in the arena and it's time for her to hit the trails!

Guy had to treat some calves. It's always nice to watch a close partnership between horse and cowboy.

We buy a STUNNING Buckskin...he is so nice!

He is a coming 6 year old, 15 hh gelding who is very thick and pretty! I went to see him with my friend Roger as soon as we seen him....I was in love. I rode him the night before the clinic bareback and in a halter. He is so new to life on the outside of an arena. His ears are perked and he is having fun....can't wait to take him to the mountains! I feel such a connection with him....

Something to look forward to and how we can offer more to our ladies retreats...

Hitting the Hills!

Finally the sun is shining, the snow is ALMOST gone, and we were able to get out to the mountains!

We had a great ride just west of Bragg Creek with Wrangler
Scott, YaYa Susan, and her daughter McKinley. It's never too young to start (riding in the hills AND yaya training!) hee hee!

McKinley led the pack and kept the adults in line, walk, trot
and loping the trails. WAY TO GO McKinley!
We had a lot of fun catching up and negotiating different obstacles.
Hope everyone was able to get out and enjoy the sunshine!

May Long Clinic...round penning!

Tom in the round pen with his mare.

Scott with his camera...ahhh

Introducing the bag whip to the 2 year old.

The Ya Ya ladies who were nicknamed those muppet guys who sat in the balcony. WE had a lot of laughs together, thanks Cory for the comment on our Ya Ya girls!

Horse's waiting on the trailor.

Terri working with Tom's mare. She was alpha mare and had a lot of pride, she changed her game quite a bit. She starting with striking the bag whip and here at the end of the round penning. Terri can pull the tarp threw her front legs with ease.

Coming out of the round pen and practicing everything taught in the round pen. Learning that everywhere you go you can tap into the connection taught in the round pen!

Brenda front footing...

Cory the owner of the 2 year old. Cory is a fellow mountain rider and has excellent round penning techniques!

The green 2 year old percheron who spoke pure horse. It was great for everyone to see how horses communicate.
