Rain, rain and more rain

Way to much rain this season so far. For the first time ever, we had to cancel our first trip. We couldn't cross the clear water as it would have drowned us and our horses with how high it is. We didn't want to, but your safety is number one. We hope July brings hot weather and great pack trips. Our owners are on there way in a couple of weeks. Talk to you next time we are in town... and think of us around the fire under our tent when it raining!

Packing Out

We just returned from a long cold pack trip with our training horses. We headed up the mountains in light snow and in the end hit alot! Wait till you see the pictures of my frozen forehead! We also tried outour new slickers bought at Coles Western Wear in Vegreville. We love them! It rained the whole trip except for 3 short hours. Horses were very happy we packed their blankets.

Raining and beautiful

I have been up to the Wild Deuce camp the past two weekends and had an absolute blast. Though they are still at their temporary location while they finish preparations (hampered greatly by rain, rain and more rain) at their base camp, so much work is being accomplished! Alongside high rivers and despite the rain the girls ride as they continue training the magnificent horses both of the Wild Deuce string and those they are training for other owners.

I forgot my camera in Terri's saddlebags or I would be sharing those pictures with you right now... sorry I couldn't. Oh and the Women's Retreat is this coming weekend, I believe there is a spot or two left for a weekend on horseback I promise will be unforgettable!

Wild Deuce Meeting in the Rockies

Several from our awesome sales committee came out to talk about our upcoming sale this fall and to have fun at camp. Here we are at Ram Falls.

We tried to get to our fly camp but the water was too deep from all the rain.

Camp Friends

Connie's oldest son Eric was here helping and riding with us. Here is a picture of Chuck (on right) and him at the summit on a cold rainy day.
