The ponies today!

Okay, so they didn't follow me on my walk today as they have hay but....when I made my way out there they came walking. I snorted and they took off bucking and kicking. Today I was on the deck enjoying the sun when I thought "Hey, a hike would be good!" So off I went in my yoga outfit thingy....well folks, when the sun went down and the wind hit the outfit. I quickly remembered I am in Alberta and by the time I made my way home. I was FROZE....have a great Sunday!

We have a winner!

All the tickets I sold for the Alberta Outfitters Convention were put into a draw for one of my Wednesday's Wine and a Stetson bag. Mimi was the lucky winner!

Update on Dodge!

Well, Brenda took him to the vet and he has a broken jaw. Not severe but needs surgery, so Brenda is in Stony Plain today waiting for Dodge to get his surgery. She is going to have lunch with Lillian and by 3 will be headed home. Yesterday while walking my herd of dogs the horses also walked the half mile. Hmmm, do they love me that much or was it because they were out of hay! Chuck & I just enjoyed some of Monday's coffee, yummy! Oh and today is the last day of the contest, winners will be announced tommorow! smile....have a great weekend everyone!

Chef Rachel rock surfing...

We rode to the top of a mountain and the rocks on top are like slate. Well Rachel thought she should surf as the wind was very strong, wish I would of gotten her feet more! We all had to try it...

W2 Wednesday Wine Tasting...

I am enjoying a nice white wine (with this cold weather should of opened a red...smile) It is Sonora Ranch from B.C. a savignon Blanc, very smooth and nice. Great house wine or easy sipping for a dinner party, this was the wine I had for the Outfitters ball! Within price range...try it!

Joanne Fequet & Jenny...

Joanne just sent these pics of her horse Jenny. I put 60 days on Jenny and I quickly learned she would be best suited for an english horse and the update is....she is having fun and doing great! Kim is now the owner and the rider and they are doing very well together, we are hoping Kim & Jenny will come and compete this fall after a showing summer!

The ponies with their snow blankets!

Hope your all enjoying this snow! My folks are on their way to spend a few days and they are seeing alot of folks in the ditch! Better saddle up instead of drive anywhere today!

Where is Wrangler Scott NOW?????

Yesterday Scott and his brother went to Snowy Owl DogSled tours out of Canmore Ab! Scott's mother gave her sons this adventure for Christmas! The neat thing about it is, they give you a 20min briefing on how to run them and than off you go alone. Scott says " was really impressed that we got to drive our own teams. The dogs were fantasic - trustworthy, good at listening to commands - even from rookies! The Snowy Owl staff were really knowledgeable - they have over 150 dogs that they train and were able to answer any questions we had. Of course, being in the mountains, the scenery was spectacular; the fact that it snowed the whole time just added to the experience! I just might have to go and try this adventure that Wrangler Scott went on...

Cowboy Chucks Coffee Cup!

Chuck enjoyed an organic Colombian coffee. It was a medium roast and for flavor he commented "it was smooth but could be stronger." The true test though was that he poured his thermos full and was off to work!
