The Clearwater River is umm....HIGH!

The clearwater currently...ack! The tree's from only a few days ago are now gone and it is HIGH. Keeping us at bay for sure...compare this picture with the same view of it only 2 days ago down below!

This water is new as in the am it was just grass...now it is a little watering hole. We rode through it yesterday and only 2 days ago it was grass yesterday it was above the horses shoulders! yee haw...look out down river!

We headed out for a nice long ride to check out the river and burnt timber creek. Decker and Rusty are the team.

King we tied behind the wagon..he did good!

Decker & Rusty

The mountains seen a ton of snow, glad we are on this side of the mountain.

Boone's ears as we head on towards the clearwater.

Shanice with her string and mine for a pic. Ringo is my new wheel horse he is on her right hand side (the sorrel with blaze)..so close to getting on him.

Okay...let me explain the mighty women pose! All day everyone was bugging me about my plastic hat cover....they thought I looked like a retard. smile

Watering Boone after the days ride.

Waiting on the wild buckskin and palamino to foal...hope we are still around.

When the sun shines......!

First chance we got one sunny day, we headed out west of Bragg Creek to make some miles! I'm riding Axel, leading Magik who's packed and followed by Tucker.

We found lots of good obstacles. The horses all did awesome! I think I had the perfect string! :)

Magik

Enjoying the view.

Guy's riding his horse Indy and leading Tiny, followed by Tinder who is packed.

We did some bushwhacking...

Tiny and Tinder taking a break.

The mosquitos weren't quite out yet when we took this trip. What a luxury! I will never take that for granted again...!!!!! :)

Enjoy everyone!

Brenda

Enjoying the moments with the wild horses & stuff!

Hi from the hills....we are still waiting on the clearwater but having fun just the same!

We are getting "friendly" with the wildies!

Here is a nice 3 year old stud who is getting pretty interested in us.

Chuck and I found a great over grown trail that went right to the top! We are busy training the strings and they are doing so good.

Nearing the top!

Shanice riding Kane with Taylor leading Sugar.

Riding Kita into her first creek crossing.

Camp games...how many horses can you feed on the high line while riding??? Chuck won that night!!!

The girls on Kane.

Riding King and Kita bareback at the end of the day.

The Wild horses on a cold rainy day...

The clearwater river....yep still high!

The wildies...see ya'll next time to town! Stay dry...

Spring Trainers...

I'm trying something new this spring.... I'm training a couple of mammoth jack mules! I know....that's what I said..., "yeah, but they're smarter than me." lol! But it's going well and we're making progress. I'll keep you updated...

This is Ben. He's 6 and came with a month's work already.

This is Bill. He's 3 and just halter broke. He loves people and is really friendly! The pics are both of their first round pens.

Of course I had to add pictures of my helpers. I sure appreciate Ghost and Slim while working with such big Mules!
