Meet Kita...our new AQHA kind mare with color to boot!

I am very excited to introduce KITA (APHA #280371188 Rip Off the Old Block) we bought her just after our trip to Reno. She comes to us nicely started. She is 4 years old with a great build and conformation. As with all horses we took her to the round pen...

We put the pack saddle on and with all our horses we put the back cinch into the bucking area to de-sensitize. She never bucked and did really good in the round pen.

Then I thought I should get on...smile!

She is athletic, smooth and moved out really nice.

Kita will be one to watch at the sale for sure...stay tuned for her updates!

Had to throw in a pic of Studly (Leroy) with his mares...can't wait for next spring for the babies!

Another pic of the stud and his mares before we kicked them out on pasture!

Our May Clinics....were amazing!

The rain and the bugs started off our clinic so we headed to Slide Stop for the 1st-2Day Clinic and it was enjoyable inside. smile. But we headed back to the farm for the 3 Day Clinic and the last day was the only day that was cold and windy. BUT...was great to put everything into practice. We didn't take many pictures because it was intense and it was about the horses and the people. wink to everyone that was at the clinic.

Shanice popped over on Teeko (who is in the sale this fall, she will have 2 years under her belt and will be a guide horse!)

Great work ladies...trust and respect is a great thing!

Enjoying the sun!

Comunication is also a good thing!

Eric joined me on Wednesday with WRANGLER! Was so good to see how happy he is with Eric and the match they have. I gave Eric a private clinic to show him all the buttons Wrangler has...enjoy your summer Eric and see you this fall when you compete on him at our OPEN COMPETITION! smile

The best wine tasting ever...and my last one for the summer!

While in California we drove through Napa Valley & enjoyed some great wine from a few vineyards. I recommend it...smile! Thanks Susan for letting me know about it! On the left is the Golden Gate Bridge we went over on our way. Below is the 1st place we stopped out...WOW!

mmm

Enjoy your wine this summer everyone and think of me on Wednesday's! The ladies joining us for this summer for our Wine tasting are in for a treat!

Reno here we come!

Chuck and I headed to Reno via San Francisco for the ultimate ranch roping by Martin Black for the Californio's...
While in Reno...we gambled our $10.00 each and were done!

The night sky from our hotel room was very nice!

It was an amazing home town feel show and we want to go back next year!

Handy, handy cowboys...or shall I call them buckaroo's!

This was a great event, green ranch horse's brought into the arena. Each cowboy was given 16 min to saddle, get on, get use to and then rope a yearling all gentle. Was some good horsemanship.

Buck Brannaman waiting for his colt.

Bull roping was the next fun event! Real working cowboys work some not so happy bulls....

Watching broke horses and working cowboys was real cool!

Our view from the room..

Yep...seen the sign on the way in and had to stop on our way out!

Notice the snow in the hills!

Then we drove through it...there was more snow there then at home but once we hit the coast it was nice!

On the way home on West jet...

Leaving California...

In the air..

Coming into Alberta and almost home!
