Meeting Stacey Westfall....

We headed to the Mane Event to day to work at the ACVA booth as we are members and it turned into an adventure. We ran into Stacey Westfall (if you don't know who she is...google her!) I enjoyed some great conversations with her and she really wants to come out on a ladies retreat! She is also a mom so we talked being mom's and horse trainers...was cool. Later on she came over and asked me "if she could interview me?" Well after I got up off the floor I said..."sure". She has a I pod something er rather and asked me a bunch of questions on the business etc. Was too cool and I also picked something up from her for the silent auction for our sale this fall....I think she should come out for that one day....ahhh. Hope you all take in a day er two of the Mane event...was a good show. But ummm...holy smackers were there people!

Decker hooked up for the first time...& stuff!

Decker had never been hooked so today was his day. We plan on hooking him and Rusty all summer for our team! He did so well, we have big smiles after today!!

Rusty the seasoned horse teaches Decker the ropes...

We first hook them to the truck so we can control a run away with brakes and in turn have some good ole tunes to listen to....

After we drove we went over to our horses out on pasture to have a look. Chuck had to jump on his favorite after a long winter. Scout never missed a beat in the make shift halter...good horse!

Then he jumped on Leroy...again GOOD stallion. I have two babies planned for him to make this year!

Shanice on King, me on Boone and Taylor on G...we were the oat's/worming crew!

Boone has now been doubled on...and um NO WORRIES!

FORGOT to mention Wild Deuce made the 2nd page of the Edmonton Sun the day after Farm & Ranch Show....Here is Shanice & Rusty! Yeah..

It had been a long time since we rode at night so Shanice and I headed out on the favorites....Rusty and Boone. The only thing missing was the MOON! Notice behind me is my 2nd home and it is currently getting packed to head North to teach clinics! See you all very soon...

Brenda and I want to wish everyone a FABULOUS Easter weekend and enjoy this much missed SUN!

Only 35 Days till we are sitting around a fire in the mountains....but who is counting!

Stettler Horse Expo

We are in the heart of Alberta at the Heartland Horse Expo.
We are meeting a lot of really cool horse people. For example, check out the picture below of a couch being packed out between two horses. This guy has been packing for 60 years! Very cool stories!

Fun was being able to ride on the race track .

My pup helping Terri watch t.v.

Wrangler Heidi came to visit us with her new puppy "Sasha." She's so unbelievably cute!

More good times at Northlands...

More of us at the Farm & Ranch Show...

Here is Steele, he was used as our pack horse demo.

Drifter in the round pen, he was also used as our pack horse demo horse.

Blaze hanging out in the round pen.

Salty & Hittman get some of the winter hair off.

Salty the blond model along with Hittman were used as demo horses for a photographer. During her demo on taking fantastic pictures!

Thanks Nicole!!!

Nice to see everyone who came out to pitch in and visit. Great seeing everyone again in our "girl cloths".

An evening out as we went for supper with friends.

After the show everyone headed out and we spent one more night. We let our horses loose....hey "why not". Here is Steele going on a walk about around the outside of the demo ring.

Steele heading down towards the arena where we had a pile of fun riding, doing some barrel racing and quite a bit of galloping! The horses and us needed it!

After the riding, everyone came up loose and started eating!

Gave Blaze a nice warm bath with help from Nicole.
Salty enjoyed his walk about but wasn't into going into the show rack!
