Wild Deuce gelding out of Velvet Hickory
Meet some more Keeper mares of Wild Deuce
Meet some daughters of Velvet Hickory out of Doc's Hickory out of Doc Bar. On the top side of the bay is Miss Lightnin Mac out of Kilomax out of Kilobar. The sorrel is a coming 4 yr old, ready to go to the mountains this spring. The bay Velvet Vixen was out all last summer but was only packed as we focused on the sale horses. I am training the Bay and my plans are to get her into cattle work in the winter. She is big, gorgeous and I am very excited. We also bought a 5 year old gelding from the same father and Brenda is training him. We still don't know who is training the coming 4 year old. Wanted you to meet them...
Meet the colts we raised who are now coming 4!

We fell in love and bought her to use in our dude string next season. We will see if she will be in the sale or kept back! Good to be back around the horses... The weather was not bad out today eh!

Monday is now going to be known for Cowboy Chucks Coffee Quest!
Chucks coffee this Monday is found at the Flying J, their house brand. He found it strong with great flavor. Who knew, but it is a truck stop so coffee is important.

Cabela's Lehi, Utah...yee haw!
This was my first time in a Cabela's, it was half museum and half store. It was huge and we spent the whole afternoon..they had to drag me out. The crowd was huge as well, they have so many animals in there including two stuff horses. These horses were life long friends who were used for hunting and packing. They both died at the age of 25 within a couple of weeks of each. We are now in Salt Lake City and will stop for the night. I bought a few new coats as I traded in my shorts for woolies and for the record now real happy about it. smile...night! P.S. they also had an aquarium full of all sorts of good eating!
