In October, we head back to the mountains to start gathering the cows. In the fall they are all over the place, we ride from dawn till dusk. They usually settle at night once gathered but this fall they were down right rude. With them so unsettled we started to look for predator track. I found alot of wolf track but nothing else. But the cows told us different and we eventually moved them down a valley and they were good. Chuck rode Scout alot and fell in love with him. I rode Pepper, Mooch, Jake, Jessie and lead some new colts. It was a great fall, nice weather, really quite and I had alot of relaxing miles in favorite place "the saddle". Its our time to sit back and enjoy this country on our time. We had our friends/family come out and help push these cows the 20 miles to the corral. Than we did the one week stray round up, we didn't get out before the snow but the roads were not bad getting out. We got out just in time to put our booth in for November's Canadian Finals Rodeo.
