Exciting News!

We just got an exciting update! An old-new owner just emailed again (she is soooo good at keeping us up to date on how "they" are doing) to give us an update. Christine bought "Shadow", a thoroughbred gelding, years ago ( 2004 or 5?) from me for an English prospect. Well....they have prospered! Christine just sent these wonderful pictures...She has constantly been in the winners circle! The past couple years Christine and Shadow have...

  • won First-Level Championship and High-point in Dressage 2009

  • won Second-Level Reserve Dressage behind professional Angie Golley at the Gold Show in 2010

  • won Championship in Second-Level Dressage at the Harvest Show 2010

  • won ribbons in the hunter/jumper shows. (all of these are in the Edmonton area)

They also find time to go to the local gymkana and last year won High-Point Trophy in the Jack Benny group (?) (all you gymkana people might have to help me out here!....), as well as do some eventing.

This spring Christine and Shadow are working on their flying lead changes for the upcoming dressage shows.

Sorry for rambling on here.... but.... I am a proud grandparent! :) Anyone out there that has any updates for us, please let us know....! We love to hear how our former students/children are doing! And it also makes me excited for the upcoming English prospects that I have on the go... first and foremost... Cassablanca. Follow her progress on our website under "Our Horses."

Oh Brenda, you should know what a Jack Benney class is! It's a simple english pleasure... walk, trot, canter on both hands with a stop and backup. "Jack Benney" simply means the competition is a bit, shall we say, 'softer'.
