We also have a huge group of Wild horses out here, we slowed drived through them and the cows this morning for our town day! Forgot my camera....sorry folks as we have a ton of pics. anywho....heading back out west and Calgary is closing in along with the first pack trip a Women't retreat! And it is now FULL....can't wait! Great day in the hills!
The sun was shining, there was NO SNOW...what a great day for a ride! Our friend Susan called me up to go for a ride. I was on my way to ride Belle and Snip anyway so why not? I met Susan and her family near Bragg Creek and we spent the afternoon on the trail. Her daughter Mckinley - who is a great little rider! - rode with us, while her husband Shannon and son Evan took off on their mountain bikes. Halfway through our ride we bumped into them, so we had to take a family pic. In the other pictures, Mckinley's horse shows us just how much water she can splash up with her nose, and Scott, Belle and Snip run to jump over a log. We saw lots of bikers and hikers on this trail, so that was great for the horses - as were the bridges, jumps, water crossings...
Saturday Night Wine Tasting?!?!?!?!?
Well, with Terri out of town for a few days we had to find other wine connoisseurs to help us out.
Rachel and Lil stepped (or is it bounded?) up to the plate to help out with this one! Not surprizingly, the wine they chose was:
Ménage a Trios' - a 2007 California red wine.
The name itself implies that THREE people should be involved with this one, however the girls were on their own for the night and the only willing man they could find was...well...the picture says it all! Here's their review:
"This wine is quite dry and a little fruity (teehee) and as neither Lil or I like the dry stuff, but we do like fruity fruits, we mixed it with Dole Cran-Raspberry drink and it was very good... in fact I think that I might drink the whole bottle tonight."

See you next time to town!
Yes that is snow! Yep...no spring here yet, it has snowed everyday, it melts and there is green underneath but still after this winter we are done with snow. smile. Nice drive this morning with the fog at the T. We are in for groceries and a shower! We are heading out to Lone Horse Camp tommorow with some friends and will be gone for 5 days. Can't wait....weather is suppose to be on our side but we are hoping it won't get to hot. There is still lots of snow on the mountains and if it get's to hot to quick, we might get trapped on the other side of the river! We are packing extra food...smile. I might take back the word trapped...because if we had to stay over BIG smiles would be on everyone's face. We are taking three wagons up the river and a string of 14ish horses! see you next time to town folks....
Peppers Lake....
Cowboy Chucks Coffee Cup!
Well folks, Chuck is picking up some horses right now so I will do his coffee tasting this week! Not sure what coffee he used but the first cup of camp coffee is soooooooooo yummy! Grounds, smell of smoke from the fire and all. We had our first safety meeting yesterday morning (we sit around the fire, and no one moves no one get's hurt) great way to start the day and have a meeting! Here is Chuck packing his bedroll for our trip tommorow! We are heading in 40 miles for 5 days....YEE HAW!
Ahh....were home!

June's Contest!
Well June is upon us (we're going to ignore the fact that it snowed a couple days ago...). And with another month is another contest! This month the contest theme is a little different. Over the last couple of months, Wild Deuce has been busy...online! We have a newly designed website, new email addresses, a Facebook site and a monthly email newsletter. So June's contest is about Wild Deuce On-line! In keeping with the theme, you'll have to click here to find out more...
Camp life begins....!
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
We made it out to camp and it snowed the first night! Our generator was stolen and we didn't have a back up right away, so we spent a cool night snuggled under the blankets. 5th wheels are moved in and half of the horses. Feels good to be out there!
Johnie and his son Jessie were out to camp for the weekend too. They brought some of the horses he's putting in the sale. Jessie is also riding in the competition and sale this year. He has a great little pony that's going to have a lot of exposure and great training!
We'll be out in a bit for groceries and more supplies. Talk to you soon!

W2 Wednesday Wine Tasting...
Our wine this week was brought from Mike & Shaunna (they were in clinic last weekend). The first thing that impressed me about this wine was that cork system it has, easy opening and pop it back on when your done! It is called Woop Woop, Shiraz 2007 from Australia. Very favorful and smooth would go with many dishes! In my TOP 3 for sure...thank you for introducing me to this wine guys!! While I was saying goodbye to my stud colt Nix I decided to take the picture with him in it! But I didn't share it with him....

Great Clinic last weekend!
This was one of the best clinics we have ever had, great people and a wide range of horses who showed the group how we deal with different personalities and training. One horse "Red" will always stand out and we can't wait to hear of the progress Kelvin will make with him! Remember to all you clinic clients....coffee is always on!
