Enjoying the heat wave...along with crossing the CLEARWATER!

Hello everyone...been awhile since I have been to town! We have been busy finally packing gear into our high camp "Lone horse". We can cross on horses thus far and haven't been able to take the wagon yet. But knock on wood we can get it in tomorrow! Last week we hauled in two loads doing 80 miles in 4 days....a nap was in order the next day. All the horses have now been packed and doing good. It was so nice to finally get to our heaven on earth up river and we were among the first ones up river. No wagons have gone yet...

Here is a pic of Chuck crossing the clearwater for the 1st time this year...yeah! It was hard to leave but we have to get all the camp in. smile

I rode Ringo in and this is his 4th ride...he is doing so good and I am extremely impressed with his common sense. We came around a corner and there was grizzley standing up, I starting singing and he slowly got down, shook the rain off and slowly walked to the side. I passed with my string, then Chuck passed with his and he started to come back to Chuck....we looked back for about 2 miles! Then just before our camp ran into another grizz but he did like most and darted away. Ringo never batted an eye....HOLY CRAP!

Here is Ringo the MAN!

Here I am on Ringo with my string, Macy, Nix and Kita.

Sugar was on the end with the saw that we didn't need....TRAIL WAS CLEAR! YEE HAW!!!

ahh....getting into high camp and enjoying the peace of the mountains and the crackle of the fire. Can't wait till we are all moved in!

Getting water on King.

We got off the trail full of dust and a night in the bedroll and grabbed the tubes and hit the water! When we got back some of the horses were a bit spooked so we did some more training till they were happy with them!

This is Chevyo a training horse.

What else do you do on +30 days!!!!

1st ride!

Till next time...
