Lilly and her BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We made a tough decision on selling Lilly this spring but after much thought we sold her to Barry and Terry from the Calgary area. They are going to provide Lilly and her baby a great home. She hadn't foaled yet when they picked her up and they just sent us these awesome pics...ahhh. We bred only three mares last year to my Stud "Just Z Distinguished". The filly has his head and eyes. CAN"T WAIT FOR BELLE AND JESSIE....and I am buying a new camers TOMMOROW as we are headed to the Mane Event. You will find Bren and I at the Alberta Country Vacations Booth from 9-3. Then we are shopping!!

Like Scott said "get your entries in for when the foals are coming because once they are here your tooo late!"

Countdown to Foals!

Have you entered our contest yet? You'd better hurry! We just got news that one of the mares bred to our stud has foaled! She was bred the same month as Jessie and Belle...and they are getting close...very close.Of course you've got our April Newsletter and know all about the contest, right? Just a reminder - all you have to do is guess Belle's or Jessie's foaling date and two lucky winners will win either 50% off our Mountain Cattle Call Trip or two spectator passes to one of our three May Clinics. Here's picture of Belle from last week, and a recent sketch of Jessie. We'll get some new ones soon (unfortunately Terri's camera was stolen, so she's having to sketch pictures of Jessie for you, but she is an amazing artist).

Oh ya - to enter our contest - just check out all the details on our website. Looking forward to your guess!

New Saddle!

Today was a great day for me! After waiting what seemed like a very long time, I made the drive to near Claresholm, Alberta yesterday and picked up my new custom saddle.
Troy Macaulay put together a really impressive rig for me and I saddled up one of my horses today and took it for a test drive. Wow. I've never climbed into a saddle before and known right away that I could spend 8 hours a day in it. Now I have. We had a client in one of our clinics last year that had a saddle made by Troy.
It caught my eye, and I asked if I could try it out. I was sold right away, and called Troy. I met with him a day later and we nailed down what he was going to build for me. No doubt about it - this is a nice lookin saddle...but it's made to work. Troy himself works cattle for a job and also heads out hunting on horseback. He said he's spent years perfecting a saddle that works great for both. And now I have one! YEEHAW! I can't wait to head to the mountains with this rig.

Salty the blond model along with Hittman were used as demo horses for a photographer. During her demo on taking fantastic pictures!

Thanks Nicole!!!

Nice to see everyone who came out to pitch in and visit. Great seeing everyone again in our "girl cloths".

An evening out as we went for supper with friends.

After the show everyone headed out and we spent one more night. We let our horses loose....hey "why not". Here is Steele going on a walk about around the outside of the demo ring.

Steele heading down towards the arena where we had a pile of fun riding, doing some barrel racing and quite a bit of galloping! The horses and us needed it!

After the riding, everyone came up loose and started eating!

Gave Blaze a nice warm bath with help from Nicole.
Salty enjoyed his walk about but wasn't into going into the show rack!
