Our May Clinics....were amazing!

The rain and the bugs started off our clinic so we headed to Slide Stop for the 1st-2Day Clinic and it was enjoyable inside. smile. But we headed back to the farm for the 3 Day Clinic and the last day was the only day that was cold and windy. BUT...was great to put everything into practice. We didn't take many pictures because it was intense and it was about the horses and the people. wink to everyone that was at the clinic.

Shanice popped over on Teeko (who is in the sale this fall, she will have 2 years under her belt and will be a guide horse!)

Great work ladies...trust and respect is a great thing!

Eric joined me on Wednesday with WRANGLER! Was so good to see how happy he is with Eric and the match they have. I gave Eric a private clinic to show him all the buttons Wrangler has...enjoy your summer Eric and see you this fall when you compete on him at our OPEN COMPETITION! smile

Problem Solving 101!

still wasn't cooperating with us SO...

of Camrose, we were able to move

inside. Thanks Dirk. It was sure nice to be dry!
The first two days we spent in the

round pen learning exercises and

techniques for earning the respect of the horses. Cause "It's not about the bag!", right guys?!!

By the third day everyone was experts and we were able to practice a lot of obstacles

I was afraid of Angus because of a wreck about a year ago, thought it was trust issues, but now I know differently. Terri & Brenda you were awesome with me and Angus! I learned so much and can't wait to keep working with Angus... I wish that the world would know about your training techniques! You guys are going to have to write a book one day!!!!! ...but you know, you need to see it in real life, it doesn't get any better than that! Awesome, awesome, awesome and Thank you, thank you, thank you! Gail Weiterman

1st Spring Clinic

Happy Spring Everyone!! Isn't this awesome! I love the rain/sleet/snow/ & whatever else wants to come down! BRING IT ON.....!

We ran the first of our two spring clinics last week. The first one was a two-day "Building the Foundation." Unfortunately we had to shorten the last day because of the weather, but by-God our participants were hardy!

No, this is not me on the cell phone in the round- pen!

We are getting ready to move back to the farm in Camrose to prepare for our May clinics, we are hosting two!! Good news for anyone who might want to book last minute we had a cancellation so please email Terri asap if you would like to join us! See you all soon to everyone who is booked! Bags are packed and the cabin is clean...horses are saddled oh wait we don't leave tonight (I better un-saddle....smile). Going out to feed Jessie her warm mash and heading to bed! night...sorry for the lack of blogging, days are filled with packing & riding!

It's Not About the Bag!

We want to say THANKS to Rocky Lane Ag Society for hosting the Wild Deuce clinic. (Special note: ROCKY LANE..... NOT High Level.....NOR Fort Vermilion! We sure got a lesson in that! It's like the Edmonton/Calgary thing!)

We also HAVE to say THANKS to all the wonderful ladies who made homemade lunches for us. From soups to banana cream pie. How can it get better than that?!!!

Now....on to the horses! We had quite the variety that showcased many different training techniques.

From Gales horse Meg, a broke Conomara mare that had spoiled issues to work on.

To Peggy's horse Hollywood, a Rescue 100 Arab gelding, only halterbroke at 10years old, coming with trust and spook issues.

To Dean's 9 year old paint ranch gelding, broke to ride and rope, but with a hidden agenda.


To April's 4 year old, halter broke Conomara gelding. Went from 1st round pen to first ride! Congratulations April!

To Dave's cute 3 year old gelding, halter broke and with trust issues.

To John's VERY BIG percheron/thoroughbred cross Mindy. Halter broke, hard to catch and lots of dominance areas to work on.

Flying to High Level to teach a clinic!

The Flight to High Level!!

Heading into the airport...

Took a bit to find our airline and the spurs and knife had to be taken off...ACK!

We walked to our plane that was the first sign that maybe something was different!

We bucked huge head winds on the way and felt like the plane might go down at some points....with only 18 seats and no in flight cookies this was no normal flight!!!!!!!! We liked when the pilots said over the intercom "if you need anything just tap us on the shoulder". High Level here we come....

The bathroom was small and I found a FUN sticker....yee haw

The Landing was scary...in Edmonton they took away my toothpaste because it was over 100ml. Then we land and I hear a quad...

Note the quad with the wagon in the pic...that is what grabbed our bags! Loving it....
