Aprils Contest...

Here is April's contest as it is Easter month and all the kids will be hunting for eggs...we thought perfect idea. We will need five items from you to enter the draw! Everyone who sends us a picture of the five items will be entered into the draw that will be drawn on May 1st! The WINNER will receive 1 FREE day on our July 3-5 (this is for the ladies if you win, also has a wine tasting of all my favorite Wednesday's wine..) or July 14-16 Mountain Cattle Call (this is co-ed). How to enter??? We need 5 items.

1. A name for my stud. (he is a very kind guy, but no pansy names)

2. A picture of a the first spring robyn, as I still haven't seen them!

3. A creative W2 in an Easter theme.

4. Either write a poem based around our life style or send a story on a new adventure you did or going to do!

5. Take a creative picture of a horse.

Susan Wall is our March WINNER and she can pick any pack trip in August and receive one day free for her walk to camp. I am still getting the results from the Wild Deuce walkers.... We continue the pretend March walk to Lone Horse Camp...

This is my crew that helps me keep walking along with all of you! You know the dogs never do get tired but I sure enjoy their company each day. I walked 24 miles to date, Susan is at 12km, Wrangler Scott has no comment, Chef Rachel thinks she has won because she lost her truck in the Wallmart parking lot and figures she has soooo won just finding her truck. (smile) Just called Brenda and she doesn't know her talley yet because she was just walking the 1.5km to her horses tonight! My body took two days off because of all the walking. My brain understands but my body says "Terri its still spring...can't we just chill out till the seasons starts?". My response to my body is..."No, the older you get the more you hold on to the weight...suck it up!" It's a constant battle between the body and the mind...smile! Keep walking folks....we are all feeling the same and the prize is soooo worth it!

I am getting Questions about the walking contest!

Good morning everyone, I was up and fed & already walked today! yee haw as I hate mornings but once I am up I am good (its the whole getting up part, that sucks!). I have been getting emails some of my northern friends with alot of snow, if they could ski or snow shoe. My thoughts are do what ever, as its spring... But for the contest you must walk/run snow shoes ARE included as your walking. So trade in those hooves and get out walking, doesn't matter if you join us now either! The only time limit on this is by the end of the month walk the 40km! Thanks for all the emails and I love knowing there are others out there walking too! Again you can email w2outfitting@yahoo.ca to let me know how many miles you have walked and a picture of yourself doing it, to encourage everyone. Remember you can win one free day on a five day pack trip this summer in August!

March's Contest...how is walking going?

Good Morning all you walkers....smile! No really where are all the walkers? (Terri yells of the deck....is anyone out there???). Okay update

-Brenda has walked 2miles

-Susan has walked 7.5km (but she was walking in snow shoes so I think it's worth waaaay more) So she might be in the lead because if we were actually walking there now all of us would be sinking in all the snow and Susan would be breezing over the snow laughing at us. Susan I want pictures!

-Scott....not sure where Scott is riding somewhere in a green hat I am assuming. (stay tuned for his miles) Oh he just called Scott is up to 7.5m....he is the lead to our camp!

-Terri has walked 6miles and heading out now....the race for Lone Horse Camp is on! Join us and win. As you can see we are not athletes by any means, at this rate Wild Deuce might combine their miles. smile..... I am enjoying the walks though and so are the dogs! better go and get my walking done. March's CONTEST!

Good morning! Okay the contest came to me last week when Peso the horse I was riding left me and I started hiking through the deep snow. Within a few steps I figured out how out of shape I was (deep breathing wanting to lay down...you know!)smile...Anywho, as I am gettting all the horses in shape for spring, I thought "what about me?" With the season just around corner I thought I can make this into a contest too and than we all win. Both Brenda, Scott and myself will try to do it as well. Our Lone Horse Camp is 40km (25miles) away from our base camp. I thought we should pretend to walk to camp! The contest is, try to walk 40km by the end of this month, starting TOMMOROW. That gives us 19 DAYS! This will be on an honor system, so if you walk 1/2km or 4km mark it down and than talley them at the end. Anyone who makes the 40km by the end of March will put into the barrel and I will draw a name April 1st. You win-> getting in shape (smile) and the winner will receive 1 day free in any of our August Pack Trips (value of $200.00!) You must email me a picture of where you walk, you walking, you on your treadmill or you tired so I can blog it. Okay folks let's work together and get back in shape for summer, blow the dust of your treadmill, dig in the pile of shoes for a pair of runners and let's walk! Brenda gave me the ugh, Scott thought it was cool and I as anyone who rides with me knows "why walk when you can ride?". But let's get at er.....yee haw!
