A tribute to Kari McRann...

After talking with Brian (Kari's husband) yesterday. We talked about stories of Kari on that trip and he explained how life changing the trip was and what going on top of that mountain meant to Kari. With now a tear in my eye of the memories and the sadness of losing Kari. We are going to have a tribute ride for Kari to the a top of that very mountain with Brian and friends. Brian has never been there and Brenda & I are honored to take him up there so we can tip our hats to this amazing woman. Anyone who was on her pack trip or knows Kari is welcome to join us, its okay with Brian. We are coming up with a date...stay tuned.

Kim is now the owner and the rider and they are doing very well together, we are hoping Kim & Jenny will come and compete this fall after a showing summer!

Abi books again for 2009!

Abi had her first retreat with Wild Deuce last summer on our Horsewomen't Retreat. We had a great time with the group but also some reflective quiet time....found in a mountain meadow. Abi emailed me today telling me, "she had such a fun time on our trip last "that," book me for this year's women's retreat, I will get two jobs if I have too, just book me!". We look forward to Abi and Darlene....as past guests you just become stronger friends! see you soon...

Darlene & Lis on our 2008 Horsewomen's Retreat!

Darlene travelled alone from Saskatchewan to join us on our 2008 Horsewomen's Retreat. We taught her and the ladies how to pack (the packing pic is of her and Lis.) We also taught the ladies how to round pen and headed out to our hidden camp for a full retreat. Darlene is an avid rider as you can see her sliding on her nice palamino Captain Flynn. Darlene wants to come back this year and book with the ladies she was on the trip with. Like I tell folks, if you come on a trip alone you are not a stranger for long! Good friends are made in those hills....just ask Darlene!
