We are just wowed by how successful our 3rd Annual Wild Deuce Working Mountain Horse Competition & Sale went! The weather was magnificent, the horses worked beautifully and everyone had a great time. Thank you to everyone who participated!

Wild Deuce in Western Horseman

Make sure you pick up the September edition of Western Horseman! There is a great picture of last years winner, Ken McKinney and a very nice article. This makes 3 magazines, Canadian Cowboy Country, Western Horse Review and Western Horseman. Watch for a full page ad on the cover of Equine Trader in September. If you are thinking about a Pack Trip or sending a horse for training in 2008, you had better book your spot now! Terri and Brenda are going to be so busy, you are going to have to take a number!

Returned home from another awesome visit to camp. The Clinic was a smashing success and the women who attended the Women's Retreat had an incredible time. Above is a picture of the string Brenda and Terri were going out with when I was getting ready to leave.

My kids had a blast, as usual, while we were there. Here is a picture of Eric beside Chuck's new 'toy'... they had so much fun tooling around in it.

R & R

Wow! I figured out how to use a blog! Finally the sun is shining and we've had a week straight of beautiful weather. Terri and I took this week off between groups of training horses and had some much needed R&R. Terri and Chuck took off with some family on a four day pack trip at the Hummingbird. They covered some new territory and brought home a great sheep skull and some moose sheds. My family was in and we took some great day rides and floated on the lake and did some fishing. What a relaxing week! Back to the grind this weekend though! Hope everybody's summer is going good!
