Monday morning pics from the cabin!

Good morning everyone, hope you had a fabulous weekend! Suppose to stay warm till the weekend. Oldies are on the radio, horses fed and eggs were cooked. I am heading out riding... Tip from the cabin, use a pine cone to help start your fire. Better than any fire starter out there, and cheaper! Cowboy Chuck is waiting for Wrangler Scott to get here with his coffee....so we are on stand bye!

Last night!

I was with the horses till late, grooming and playing with them. Here is a pic of Dallas (Just Z Distinguished) he is coming along nice. I have him in the pack string now and yesterday he was tied to a horse that starting bucking pretty good! He just kept up not paying any attention to him. He has such a calm personality, he is a old soul for sure. My stack of wood we stacked yesterday, the fire was hot last night!

Doctoring the Elk!

My Adventure yesterday was helping vaccinate elk! We brought in the cows & calves and vaccinated them. It was very neat, you have to run them in an area that is fully enclosed because if they see a tiny hole they will go through it! You run them towards the shute and in they go. The shute is all padded and they are squeezed so they don't hurt themselves. It was really neat, when they are not happy they grind their teeth.

Chef Rachel & the squirrel war's!!!

Chef Rachel and the squirrel's last season were having fun. Well the squirrel's were anywho....they all loved hanging around Rachel's camper. They would be very loud, run over her camper and she was not amuzed. They never did go near our campers, I guess Rachel was choosen by the squirrels...
